Rice porridge

Start by preparing the baked pear. Wash and slice the pear and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on top. Place the slices on an oven tray and bake at 200°C for 20-30 minutes.


Add the rice flakes to the boiling water or milk. Boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, and then stew, lid on, for a further 2 minutes. Add salt or sugar to taste.


For a more filling meal, serve the rice porridge with the baked pear. Drizzle with liquid honey and add a touch more cinnamon.


Water or milk 500 ml
Helen rice flakes 250 g
Liquid honey and cinnamon to serve
