Mixed grain porridge with ham

Dice the smoked ham and onion and brown in a pot. Add the boiling water and mixed grain flakes. For a more filling porridge, use stock. Boil for 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Then stew, lid on, for a further 1-2 minutes. Scatter parsley and mixed nuts on top to serve.

Water 1 l
Helde mixed grain flakes with seeds and carrot 600 g
Smoked ham 300 g
Onion 1–2
Parsley and nuts to serve
